Founded in 1989 by JJ Hong, Kokam has since become a growing company dedicated to developing coating polymer film design and assembly technology, as well as manufacturing thin polymer film. Utilizing newfound technology, Kokam began independently developing Lithium-Ion Polymer batteries in 1998. Possessing the most sophisticated technology in secondary batteries today, our company claims the patent on the fully automated manufacturing processes. Kokam Co. not only provides a wide range of battery solutions, but also electrical solutions such as chargers and PCM (Protection Circuit Module) as comprehensive power solutions.

Kokam’s Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery has gained a reputation as a superior product in the global market. Exporting to 30 different countries worldwide, our consumer base is growing annually. Built from future-oriented technology, our products are environmentally friendly, maintain high energy density storage capabilities and are high powered in comparison with existing Lead-Acid battery, Ni-Cd and Ni-MH products.
